Sometimes that happens to me when there is another Widget open using some of the same items.  Do you have another calendar open?

Nope.  Nothing else running but the clock.  And I tried it without the clock running too.    Kind of a head scratcher.

Have you tried going to the cache for the widget and deleting it?  First close the widget, once you delete the cache open the widget again and see if that fixes it.

If that doesn't fix it close the widget and then uninstall it run a clean up program and then reinstall the widget.

I believe that's a Windows Gadget, not DX.

I've never seen this happen before.

Ahhhh.  If it is a Windows Gadget see if there is anything mentioned about it on it's download page.

When you say you can't uninstall it do you mean you can't by right clicking on it in the gadgets window? If not you can delete it by going to c:/users/yourname/appdata/local/microsoft/windows sidebar. You can delete it there and the gadget cache is also located there. Delete the contents of the cache folder and delete the gadget. Then reinstall and see if that does the trick for you.

I also forgot to ask if your running 64 bit? Some gadgets have comaptability issues but there is a work around for that also.

I imagine I could, but how could I get it back?  It's not something I downloaded, it just came as part of the OS.

Just uninstall it in the gadget select window, do NOT delete that folder. then to reinstall it:

Instructions for Windows 7

Here are the instructions to restore the default Desktop Gadgets in Windows 7.

Click Start, Control Panel. In the search box, type Restore Gadgets

Click Restore desktop gadgets installed with Windows.

You may still need to delete the cache folder as Junior Crooks and Philly mentioned, just not the gadget folder.

Btw, for those who miss having an actual sidebar to put the gadgets on, Try this:http://nes.bplaced.net/sidebar7.html  Surely I can't be the only one.

It's easily skinnable, as in even I can do it! It's adjustable in width! It previews windows! It's FREE! (oh, just try the thing already)
